Every angel gown begins with a gift of love.
From the donation of a wedding gown to the moment an angel garment is placed in the hands of a grieving family, each step is made possible through the kindness of volunteers and community partners.
Wedding gowns are generously donated by individuals who wish to give their dress a second purpose. Rather than remaining stored away, each gown has the opportunity to bring comfort to many families.
When a volunteer seamstress is available, the gown is matched with a volunteer whenever possible based on location. This helps reduce shipping costs and allows gowns to be transformed by caring hands throughout Wisconsin.
Each volunteer seamstress carefully takes apart the wedding gown and thoughtfully uses as much of the fabric, lace, ribbon, buttons, pearls, and other beautiful details as possible.
From a single wedding gown, multiple angel garments and keepsakes can often be created in a variety of sizes, including micro-preemie, preemie, infant, and full-term.
Completed angel garments are provided to hospitals, funeral homes, and other organizations so they are available to families during a time of unimaginable loss.
By partnering with these organizations, we help ensure angel gowns are available when families need them most.
Each angel gown is given freely with compassion and love, offering comfort, dignity, and a beautiful keepsake during one of life's most difficult moments.
While we cannot ease the pain of such a profound loss, we hope every garment reminds families that their precious baby is wrapped in love and will always be remembered.
Every wedding gown.
Every volunteer.
Every community partner.
Together, we help bring comfort to families across Wisconsin—one angel gown at a time.
