Founded in 2018 by Joni Steingraber, Angel Babies of Wisconsin was created with one simple purpose—to bring comfort, compassion, and dignity to families experiencing the heartbreaking loss of a baby.
Through the generosity of wedding gown donors and the talents of dedicated volunteer seamstresses, donated wedding gowns are lovingly transformed into beautiful angel gowns, blankets, bonnets, and keepsakes.
These handcrafted garments are created for babies during a time of unimaginable loss. Over the years, Angel Babies has sent 1,605 gowns to hospitals, funeral homes, and various organizations.
Our mission is to ensure every family has access to a beautiful handmade garment for their precious baby during a time of unimaginable loss.
We believe every child deserves to be wrapped in love, and every family deserves kindness, compassion, and support.
Each donated wedding gown has the potential to become multiple angel garments in a variety of sizes—from micro-preemie to full term.
Our volunteer seamstresses thoughtfully use as much of each gown as possible, incorporating lace, satin, pearls, ribbon, and other beautiful details to create garments that become treasured keepsakes for families.
Angel Babies of Wisconsin is entirely volunteer-driven.
From coordinating gown donations and matching seamstresses with donors to sewing, packaging, and delivering completed garments, every step is made possible through the generosity of individuals who donate their time and talents.
As our network of volunteers and community partners grows, we are able to reach more hospitals, funeral homes, and, most importantly, more families.
Whether you're interested in volunteering, representing a hospital or funeral home, joining us as a community partner, or donating a wedding gown when donations reopen, there is a place for you in the Angel Babies of Wisconsin family.
Together, we can ensure every baby is wrapped in love.
