Wedding Gown Donation List Update ~ July 1, 2026

As of July 1, 2026, we have temporarily paused accepting new wedding gown donations.

We currently have approximately 425 wedding gowns waiting to be matched with volunteer seamstresses. To ensure every donated gown receives the care and attention it deserves, we are focusing on working through our existing waiting list before accepting additional donations.

If you joined our waiting list before July 1, 2026, your place on the waiting list is secure, and we will contact you when we are ready to coordinate your donation.

A Second Story for Your Wedding Gown

A wedding gown represents one of life's most joyful moments. Through the generosity of our donors, these beautiful gowns are transformed into angel garments that bring comfort to families during a time of unimaginable loss.

Each donated gown is carefully taken apart by a volunteer seamstress and thoughtfully repurposed into angel gowns, blankets, bonnets, and keepsakes for babies of many sizes. One wedding gown can often provide comfort to multiple families.

What Happens to My Wedding Gown?

When your gown is matched with a volunteer seamstress, it begins a remarkable transformation.  The gown is carefully deconstructed, and as much of the fabric and decorative details as possible are used to create:

• Angel gowns

• Burial garments

• Blankets

• Bonnets

• Keepsakes

Each completed garment is then distributed to hospitals, funeral homes, and other community partners where it can bring comfort to families when it is needed most.

Depending on our current needs, bridal accessories such as veils, slips, ribbon, lace, and other wedding gown details may also be helpful.

Although wedding gown donations are temporarily paused, there are still many meaningful ways to support Angel Babies of Wisconsin.

Even while wedding gown donations are paused, we're actively looking for: 

• Volunteer seamstresses

• Hospitals and funeral homes interested in receiving angel gowns

• Community partners who would like to support our mission
